Green Up Day 2010

Thanks to all of those who turned out for "Green-Up Day" in High Falls

The High Falls Civic Association wishes to thank all of those who turned out for our second annual "Green-Up" Day in High Falls. Fifty some volunteers, young and old and from near and from as far away as Oregon, participated this year cleaning up litter, garbage, and refuse from streets, fields, and along the streams of High Falls.

Special thanks to Buffy & Brian Gribbon for allowing us to use the High Falls Café as our gathering place and to Bill Bannan, Vice President of the Civic Association for chairing this event. Collection bags and refreshments were provided for all volunteers, along with "Green-Up day" T-shirts which were given to the first 40 volunteers to sign-in. Maurice Hinchey stopped by on his way through town and was presented with an official High Falls Civic Association Green-Up Day t-shirt as he personally thanked those who had helped with the clean-up.
